Our Eco flat rooflights are double glazed as standard (with an option for triple glazed) and designed as a budget low-cost aluminium frame rooflight to fit over a builders 70mm wide timber kerb. Designed using marine grade powder coated frame in either slate grey or black with a 25mm closed cell foam thermal break, these aluminium framed rooflights come with a 10-year unit seal warranty.

The IGU’s are made using 6mm toughened safety glass and feature a 60mm resin painted board to hide the unit seals and spacer bar (protects seals from suns UV and gives a neater finish when viewed from above) structurally bonded into the aluminium frame that sits over the builder’s upstand kerb and screws into place through the pre-drilled fixing holes.

These low cost rooflights are the perfect alternative to so called frameless rooflights that are only a stepped glass unit without a frame – you need a frame to both protect the edge of the glass and direct rainwater away from the flashing, designed for a minimum of 5-degree fall.

From the inside there is a frameless appearance when plasterboard is run up to the rooflight.
